Mission of constant development in the field of hyperspectral imaging
SPECIM, located in area of Technopolis in the city of Oulu in Finland, was founded in 1995 by three scientists from VTT Electronics, with extensive experience in optical spectrometry. VTT Electronics is one of the nine research institutes within the Technical Research Centre of Finland.

Excellence and expertise
Specim has long standing experience in developing solutions for spectrometric applications, optics and instruments in the field of hyperspectral imaging. Specim's main expertise is in imaging spectrographs, spectral cameras, spectral scanner solutions and complete remote sensing systems that are all based on transmissive dispersive optics.

Specim is devoted to finding solutions i.e. in the field of process analytical technologies, life science, and agricultural & environmental research.
